About a year ago I posted on a Saturday Night Social that my 5-year-old daughter's pediatric psychiatrist was suggesting that we start her on Zoloft to help her with her separation anxiety and her social anxiety disorder. I was really pushing the idea of the meds on Mr. Nobody because I just really needed her to be better, to feel better, to not be afraid of other kids, and to have a happier life and this was the only suggestion that we had been given after 2.5 years of doctors and therapies, and assessments; while Mr. Nobody was pretty much flatly refusing. A few commenters, particularly Miss Norma Desmond helped to reel me in and suggested that we have Little Nobody tested for Pernicious Anemia, because a lot of the symptoms I was describing were similar to PA. I am thrilled, happy beyond belief, ecstatic, etc to report that Little N DOES have PA. After a year of iron and vitamin b intensive therapy, she is a completely different kid! She is wrapping up her kindergarten year happy, fun loving, more confident, and with a good strong group of friends. She runs off to the playground at drop off, and is just a ball of wonderful.
Thank you all SO MUCH for your help. I honestly don't know what would have happened without Jezebel, and I am forever grateful for your help!
